What happens if someone else picks up my mobile device (smartphone or tablet), retrieves the digital boarding pass, and tries to use it to board the flight?

At the security checkpoint, airport security or Immigration officials will match the name on the travel document with the digital boarding pass. Any discrepancies will not be accepted, and the passenger will be advised to return to the check-in counter to have a traditional boarding pass issued.
