On-time performance update under air traffic congestion

Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon are striving to overcome the issue of air traffic congestion. We are pleased to report that our on-time performance has improved and currently stands at 70% across our entire network for the first nine months of this year, an 8% increase over last year. Achieving on-time performance is an ongoing challenge for airlines and can be exacerbated during peak travel times or severe weather conditions that may disrupt services.

We are continue to work extensively with the Hong Kong and Chinese authorities to further optimise our operational processes and improve passenger communications during these disruptions.

In order to help keep our operations smooth, all passengers should arrive at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before departure. As a reminder, boarding gates close 10 minutes before departure to ensure flights depart on time.
