Cathay Pacific has launched its Self-Print Boarding Pass service - the latest innovation to help simplify the travel experience for our passengers.

Passengers departing from select airports on Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon flights, who have already checked in online, can print Boarding Pass online on A4 (Legal) paper in either black and white or colour with their own printer at home, the office or anywhere with access to the internet. Passengers eligible for lounge access will be able to view their invitations on the boarding pass.

All passengers and their travel companions on Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon flights who have checked in online for flights departing from Adelaide, Amsterdam, Auckland, Bahrain, Bangalore, Bangkok, Beijing, Boston, Brisbane, Cairns, Cebu, Chiangmai, Chicago, Da Nang, Dubai, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Fukuoka, Guangzhou, Haikou, Hanoi, Hiroshima, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Kaohsiung, Kolkata, Kuala Lumpur, London (Gatwick), London (Heathrow), Los Angeles, Madrid, Manchester, Manila, Melbourne, Milan, Nagoya, New York, Okinawa, Osaka, Paris, Penang, Perth, Phnom Penh, Phuket, Rome, Riyadh, San Francisco, Sapporo, Seoul, Shanghai (Hongqiao), Shanghai (Pudong), Singapore, Sydney, Taipei, Taichung, Tokyo, Toronto, Vancouver, Wenzhou , including those transiting in Hong Kong, can print a boarding pass online.

For example:
If you are travelling from New York to Hong Kong with an onward connection to Beijing, you can print your Boarding Pass online.

Passengers with onward connecting flights from airports other than Hong Kong will not be allowed to print their own boarding pass. We are progressively enabling this feature to flights departing from other ports.

For example:

  • If you are travelling from Hong Kong to Taipei with an onward connection to Tokyo, you cannot print your Boarding Pass online.
  • If you are travelling from Hong Kong to Taipei and return to Hong Kong on the same day or within 24 hours, you cannot print your Boarding Pass online.

Please note that the following passengers can check in online but cannot print their own Boarding Pass:

  • Passengers who have purchased tickets with fares applicable for infant
  • Passengers who have purchased air tickets in conjunction with ferry tickets

Passengers travelling to or from United States can only issue Self-Print Boarding Pass / Mobile Boarding Pass within 24 hours prior to the flight departure.

Passengers can print their Boarding Pass with the "Print/Send" button on the "Online Check-In Confirmation" page up to 90 minutes before departure.

To print the Boarding Pass, passengers will need:

  • PC with internet access
  • Printer with minimum 300dpi resolution
  • Paper of A4 or Legal size
  • Pop-up blocker disabled on computer browser.

Passengers without check-in baggage:

  • Can proceed directly through Security and Immigration and to the Gate
  • Must present their travel documents at the Boarding Gate Service Desk at least 30 minutes prior to departure.

Passengers with check-in baggage:

  • Can drop it at a Self Check-In Bag Drop Counter at least 50 minutes before scheduled departure time.
  • If you are departing from Beijing, Colombo, Dubai, Kolkata, London Heathrow (LHR), Madrid, Mumbai, New York John F Kennedy (JFK), Shanghai Pudong (PVG) and Tel Aviv, you can drop it at a Self Check-In Bag Drop Counter at least 70 minutes prior to departure.

Be sure to arrive at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before the departure time to avoid unnecessary delays. Late passengers will not be accepted and the boarding gate will be closed 10 minutes prior to departure.

  • Immigration and Security Regulations require that your name on the boarding pass must match that on your travel document. If there is a discrepancy, please contact the Airport Check-In counter for assistance
  • You MUST cancel your check-in online at least 60 minutes before departure if you cannot travel as planned. Failure to do so will require you to contact Cathay Pacific Reservations Office or Travel Agent to reissue your ticket before future travel is allowed. This may result in re-issuance fees and payment of any fare differences as per the ticket conditions
  • You must present valid travel documents at the Boarding Gate Service Desk at least 30 minutes before departure.
