As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering an on-time, seamless and reliable travel experience, we’re making some changes to our boarding and gate closure times.
Effective from 1 June 2026, boarding gates will close 15 minutes prior to departure for all Cathay Pacific flights.
From the same date, all flights departing Hong Kong International Airport will also start boarding five minutes earlier.
These changes were designed based on feedback from both our customers and our people. We understand our customers value a smooth and relaxed boarding experience, with additional time to settle in and relax before departure. By boarding earlier, we can provide this improved experience and better manage any last-minute changes as we make final preparations for an on-time departure.
We encourage all customers to check their boarding pass for their gate number, boarding group and boarding time. Arriving at the gate on time and boarding by the allocated group will help ensure a smooth boarding process, an on-time departure and a seamless start to the journey for everyone on board.
