Passengers whose flights are cancelled are advised not to go to the airport. Cathay Pacific is closely monitoring the situation and, once the local weather is cleared for operation, we will mount extra flights to get our passengers to their destinations.

Cathay Pacific appeals to passengers to postpone non-essential travel between today and tomorrow as the airline makes every effort to bring its service back to normal.

Passengers are strongly advised to first check the latest flight information on the airline’s website, www.cathaypacific.com, before departing for the airport. To ensure passengers receive the latest flight status updates via SMS or e-mail, they are advised to update contact details in “Manage My Booking” at the airline’s website.

The airline will waive re-booking and re-routing charges for all tickets issued worldwide (irrespective of fare type) on or before 7 August for travel on Cathay Pacific to and from Shanghai between 7 and 10 August.

Cathay Pacific will issue further updates once more information becomes available. The airline regrets any inconvenience this may cause and hopes for passengers’ understanding.
