Carry-on baggage

You are allowed to carry at least one piece of carry-on baggage for free (depending on the class you travel). Duty-free items are included in cabin baggage allowance. You may also carry other necessary items such as a small camera or a walking stick on board. View the details in Baggage Information.

Small handheld portable electronic devices, such as smart phones, mobile phones, and tablets, are accepted and may be used throughout the flight, provided that they are in “Flight Safe/Airplane” mode with WiFi functions disabled. Larger electronic devices such as laptops, notebooks, and portable DVD players are accepted, but may only be used during boarding and inflight. Find out more.

You are allowed to bring limited quantities of personal medicine and toiletries (such as hair spray) on board. Check out our Baggage Information for a list of dangerous goods which you should not bring on board.

Except service dogs, all pets on Cathay Pacific flights need to be crated and travel in the cargo compartment. Pets cannot be accepted as checked baggage on any Cathay Dragon operated flights. For further details, check out Special Assistance.
