Temporary change of the Greater Bay Area services

Starting from 28 October 2020, cross-border ferry transfer services from Shenzhen Shekou to Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) have gradually resumed. Please view the ferry schedules below. (For the latest ferry status, please visit Shekou Cruise Homeport's homepage.)

Please pay attention to the following tips and suggestions for you before booking the services.


  • Passengers should purchase the Air + Ferry package at least 48 hours in advance of ferry departure. Rescheduling is only allowed at least 48 hours in advance of ferry departure.
  • If you would like to purchase your ferry ticket and air ticket separately, please notice that:
    • You should purchase your ferry ticket at least 24 hours in advance of ferry departure. Ferry tickets can be reserved up to 120 days ahead. Your ferry departure time should be at least 150 minutes before your flight departure time.
    • The ferry tickets apply to flights departing from 12:30 p.m. to 10:15 a.m. (the next day). Passengers who connect to flights departing between 03:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. may take the last shift of the ferry from the day before.
    • Before purchasing the ticket, please confirm the most significant carrier (MSC) of your flight is Cathay Pacific, or else you may not be permitted to board the ferry. Please visit Shekou Cruise Homeport's homepage for relevant information.


  • Passengers should complete the check-in formalities before boarding the ferry.
  • Please arrive at the port for check-in 180 minutes before your ferry departure. (Please allow extra time during holidays.)
  • Check-in services are only available 60 minutes before scheduled ferry departure time.
  • Passengers should make health declaration on the electronic health declaration system of the China custom before boarding.
  • The boarding gate will be closed 30 minutes before scheduled ferry departure time.
  • In light of the evolving situation around coronavirus (COVID-19), all passengers will go through the travel document check again at Cathay Pacific counters after arriving at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).

COVID-19 information

  • Passengers should confirm in advance that you are able to enter your intended destination and meet the latest entry requirements of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). If you are rejected from entering your final destination, you will be arranged to go back to the Mainland and undergo 14 days of compulsory quarantine. Passengers will be asked to sign a pledge at the check-in counters accordingly.
  • All passengers departing from Shenzhen Shekou should either present a proof of a valid negative RT-PCR nucleic acid test result (taken within 48 hours of scheduled flight departure time) through "Yuekang code" system, or present the paper copy of a valid negative RT- PCR nucleic acid test report issued by one of the medical institutions recognised by the Chinese government.

Besides, starting from 20 June 2021, Cathay Pacific has resumed the flight from Guangzhou to Hong Kong, five scheduled flights per week. Passengers from the Pearl River Delta region can also take a Cathay Pacific flight from your local airports to intended destinations.

Air + Land packages (flight bookings with complimentary cross-border transfer services to HKIA) remain suspended until further notice.
