Temporary change of Pearl River Delta services
Latest update: 08 Mar 2020 21:30 HKT (GMT+8)
In light of the evolving situation regarding the novel coronavirus, starting from 1 March 2020 all cross-border ferry transfer services from Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) to the Pearl River Delta region have been suspended until further notice.
Ferry transfer services from the Pearl River Delta including ferry ports Dongguan Humen, Guangzhou Lianhuashan, Guangzhou Nansha, Shenzhen Shekou, Zhongshan and Zhuhai Jiuzhou to HKIA will be maintained with limited service.
Due to the ferry schedule changes, we will suspend the sale of Air + Ferry packages (between HKIA and the Pearl River Delta) starting from 1 March 2020 until further notice. During this time,
- If you’ve purchased an Air + Ferry package and your flight and ferry have not been cancelled, you will still be able to start your journey from the Pearl River Delta and continue onwards to your flight at HKIA. (For the latest ferry status, please visit the HKIA website.)
- If you’re overseas and have not entered or stayed in a destination restricted by the Hong Kong SAR in the past 14 days (such as Mainland China, Korea, Iran, Italy, etc.), you can enter Hong Kong via Shenzhen Bay Port or Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port to return to the Pearl River Delta. For destinations subject to entry restrictions by the HKSAR Government, please refer to the Hong Kong GovHK website for more details.
- If you’ve purchased an Air + Ferry package before 1 March 2020, for travel within March 2020 and your ferry has been cancelled, we will waive the refund and re-registration fee. Please contact your local reservation office or travel agent for alternative arrangements.
Check-in services for Cathay Pacific / Cathay Dragon flights at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge remain suspended until further notice.
Air + Land packages (flight bookings with complimentary cross-border transfer services to HKIA) remain suspended until further notice. If you have redeemed the Air + Land cross-border transfer service on or after 8 February, the cross-border transfer service to HKIA will be cancelled.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
