Music fans can enjoy concerts by Hong Kong superstars in Macao, while art lovers can take in performances during the Guangzhou Art Season and Chamber Music Week. With so many standout events in the GBA, this summer promises endless excitement and entertainment for everyone.

    1. Shenzhen: FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2025

    The game is on  for eight teams across Asia, with six spots at the FIBA Women’s World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournaments at stake. The competition will begin with round-robin matches before progressing to the knockout stage. Defending champions Team China will enjoy strong support from the home crowd as their top rivals for the crown, Team Japan, compete in the opposite pool.

    2. Shenzhen: Shenzhen Science & Technology Museum Opens

    The Shenzhen Science & Technology Museum is a striking new landmark designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. Standing out with its futuristic, fluid form resembling a celestial vessel, the museum showcases cutting-edge exhibits across permanent and temporary galleries. Visitors can also enjoy immersive science films in state-of-the-art theatres and cinemas, making it a must-visit destination for curious minds and culture seekers alike.

    3. Macao: Red Velvet’s Irene and Seulgi  

    Following two sold-out shows in Seoul, K-pop duo Irene and Seulgi of Red Velvet are bringing their “Balance” tour to The Londoner Arena . This marks the third stop of their Asian concert series, where fans can expect a mix of solo performances and hits from their debut mini album Monster, released in 2020.

    4. Macao: Aaron Kwok  

    Hong Kong’s legendary performer and one of the “Four Heavenly Kings,” Aaron Kwok returns to Studio City for a high-energy concert series spanning three consecutive weekends. Following in the footsteps of Joey Yung and Leon Lai, Kwok joins the star-studded lineup of Melco Style’s concert residency series, promising electrifying performances that blend dance, music and cinematic flair.

    5. Macao: Sandy Lam “Resonance” 2025 Concert Tour in Macao 

    For four nights this month, Mandopop diva Sandy Lam will bring her dazzling 2025 Concert Tour, “Resonance” , to The Venetian Arena, exploring the theme of space and time intertwining. Known for its signature blend of power and vulnerability, Sandy’s voice will stir treasured memories and connect with fans in a way only she can.

    6. Guangzhou: Sakamoto & Hisaishi 

    For one night this month, Guangzhou Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall will host a special tribute concert celebrating the music of Ryuichi Sakamoto and Joe Hisaishi, whose classical compositions and soundtracks to Studio Ghibli animations, respectively, are adored by fans the world over. This concert will feature select favourites from each composer.

    7. Macao: Kenny G 

    After seven years, saxophone sensation Kenny G returns to Macao . Concertgoers and smooth jazz lovers heading to the Broadway Theatre can expect the soprano saxophonist’s classic hits, from Songbird to Forever in Love, as well as atmospheric tunes from his 2023 album Innocence.

    8. Guangzhou: Shanghai Quartet 

    Formed in 1983 at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, the Shanghai Quartet brings the dynamic spirit of chamber music to life at Xinghai Concert Hall. The evening’s programme features Beethoven’s late-period masterpieces and Mozart’s Horn Quintet, performed with renowned horn player Han Xiaoguang. The concert will also premiere newly commissioned cross-genre works in collaboration with guqin master Chen Leiji, blending classical and traditional Chinese music in a bold, contemporary setting.

    9. Guangzhou: 100% Doraemon & Friends Tour  

    Following its successful debut in Hong Kong, the 100% Doraemon & Friends Tour is hitting the road and set to park up this summer at Guangzhou’s K11 Art Mall. This immersive exhibition features a brand new animated short incorporating Chinese cultural elements. Fans can explore a world of Doraemon manga, anime and films brought to life by comic-themed installations, reproductions of original artwork and 3D sculptures and the show’s centrepiece: a 12-metre-tall inflatable Doraemon.

    10. Foshan: Puppet Show Growing Pains 

    On a tabletop-turned-stage at the Foshan Grand Theater, the whimsical puppet show Growing Pains  uses puppets crafted from everyday objects, including towels, chopsticks and tennis balls, to tell a heartwarming family story – perfect for audiences of all ages.
