Cathay Pacific Advises Passengers on Jakarta Flights to Check Latest Flight Information

Cathay Pacific Airways today (Saturday, 6 November) announced that flights to and from Jakarta are being affected by the volcanic ash cloud resulting from the eruption of Mount Merapi.

Today's flights have been delayed and will depart tomorrow if conditions improve. However, as the situation for flights to and from Jakarta tomorrow (Sunday 7 November) is still being assessed and the possibility of delays remains, customers are advised to check the status of their flight at the airline’s website, www.cathaypacific.com, before departing for the airport.

Customers are also advised to input their contact details in the Manage My Booking function at the website to ensure they get the latest flight information via SMS or email.

Flights affected today are as follows:

Hong Kong to Jakarta (Saturday 6 November)
CX777 Departure delayed from 0930 today to 1100 tomorrow
CX719 Departure delayed from 1615 today to 1300 tomorrow

Jakarta to Hong Kong (Saturday 6 November)
CX776 Departure delayed from 1450 today to 1540 tomorrow (local time)

The airline will continue to monitor the situation closely and will issue further updates should there be any changes to the flight schedule.
