The Hong Kong SAR Government has introduced strict entry requirements for passengers who are ending their journey in Hong Kong. Check restrictions for passengers travelling to Hong Kong and the Immigration and quarantine requirements section on the same page.

All passengers travelling to Hong Kong are required to fill out the HKSAR Department of Health travel declaration form.
 

A negative Rapid Antigen (RAT) test

A negative Rapid Antigen (RAT) test

Effective 26Sep2022, passengers travelling to or transiting via Hong Kong are no longer required to do an RT-PCR test.

However, all passengers must have a negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen test (RAT) result (which can be self-administered or by professional swab sampling). Passengers must take the test a maximum of 24 hours before the scheduled departure time of their last flight to Hong Kong SAR. (Not required for children under the age of three)

Passengers must include the negative pre-departure COVID-19 Rapid Antigen (RAT) test results in the health declaration form.

The name on your test report MUST be exactly as it appears on your passport and travel documents. The Hong Kong Government will not accept any name spelling deviation, nor with any parts of the name missing.

Medical surveillance and self-monitoring

Effective 26Sep2022, all passengers who have stayed in any overseas countries in the past 7 days must undergo medical surveillance at home or in other self-arranged accommodations. Travelers must undergo medical surveillance for 3 days on arrival. Travelers are free to go out but must follow the Amber code restrictions. A further 4 days of self-monitoring is also mandatory. 

During medical surveillance and self-monitoring, travelers must take daily COVID-19 Rapid Antigen (RAT) tests. 

Travelers must also take COVID-19 nucleic acid tests on days 2, 4, and 6 in the first 7 days of arrival in Hong Kong.
