Coronavirus (COVID-19) FAQs
At the airport
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA)
For the latest shopping and dining arrangements at the Hong Kong airport, please visit their official website.
If you're ending your journey in Hong Kong, you might be asked to present a negative rapid antigen test (RAT) result taken within 24 hours of departure of your flight to Hong Kong as the health officials will conduct random checks on arrival. Please keep the test or photographic proof of the test with you.
If you’re in transit, there are no additional documents, forms or checks required. With your onward boarding pass in hand, simply proceed through security and upstairs to the departures level.
Hand sanitisers are available throughout the Hong Kong International Airport terminal, at multiple locations.
A number of measures remain in place such as:
- encouraging online check-in to minimise time required at the counter and kiosks
- perspex screens are installed at all check-in counters
- asking passengers to board by rows
- using the e-boarding gates for a contactless boarding experience on all Cathay Pacific flights
