Transit from domestic to international flights
Transferring from Air New Zealand domestic to Cathay Pacific: Air New Zealand will through check bags and issue Boarding Passes for your Cathay Pacific flights – applicable only if all flights are issued on the same ticket. Ensure you check-in at least 1 hour before departure. On arrival at Auckland, proceed to the international terminal and straight to the departure gate. Business Class passengers should approach Cathay Pacific check-in counters for Lounge invitation card to access the lounge.
Transferring from Jetstar domestic flights to Cathay Pacific: Jetstar cannot process through check in. Passengers must claim their bags at Jetstar domestic terminal and transfer to international terminal and check in with Cathay Pacific.
Transit from international to domestic flights
Transferring from a Cathay Pacific flight to an Air New Zealand flight: During check-in at the International airport, the baggage should be tagged for the final destination in New Zealand. On arrival at Auckland, collect bags, clear customs/agriculture controls and recheck your bags in at Air New Zealand domestic counter: Zone A (turn right on exiting Customs Hall of International terminal). Proceed to the domestic terminal for the onward flight.
Transferring from a Cathay Pacific flight to a Jetstar flight or other operator’s flight: Passengers collect their baggage and proceed to the domestic terminal for check-in.
