You can only use your mobile phone number or email to sign in if they have been verified and set as a sign-in ID.

If you encountered an error when signing in with your mobile phone number or email, please try signing in with your membership number or username. After signing in, you will be able to link and verify your mobile phone number or email to use as a sign-in ID for next time.

Cathay accounts are locked after several unsuccessful attempts to protect your security. You will need to reset your password  to unlock the account.
