Parfums de Voyage - Hong Kong
Smell is the most closely associated sense to memory. A single aroma can evoke a powerful response, vividly conjuring memories and emotions as if they occurred yesterday.
Introducing Parfums de Voyage – Hong Kong, a limited-edition fragrance designed to take you on a return journey through scent, transporting you through time and place back to the thriving metropolis of Hong Kong.
In the same way our fleet of aircraft literally transports you to your destination, Parfums de Voyage will take you back through time and place. From the mountains, teahouses, markets, and temples, you'll embark on a "return journey through scent".

When you travel well, you explore with all of your senses. And when you travel to Hong Kong, you’ll experience a city of sensory wonder: a metropolis where east meets west, where the air is thick with pleasant exotica, where the markets are laden with tea, fruit, and flowers, and where the temples fill daily with incense.
To help capture Hong Kong’s signature scent, we've teamed up with Australian Fragrance Specialist, Samantha Taylor, to create Parfums de Voyage - a scientifically crafted perfume designed to ignite your memories of the city.
Embarking on an exploration of scent, she discovers the unique fragrances of each district in Hong Kong and distills them into a bespoke perfume. As a reflection of her time spent in the city, the resulting fragrance is a culmination of the experiences that you too might find in Hong Kong.

Parfums de Voyage – Hong Kong is suitable for both women and men. It has a fresh, clean top note inspired by the greenery and flora of the island drying down to a warm, peppery base note that’s evocative of exotic spices and smoky incense.
The distinct fragrance notes include:
- Oakmoss and bamboo from the misty heights of Victoria Peak.
- Green tea found in the city’s crowded teahouses.
- Jasmine, orchids and white florals from the Kowloon flower markets.
- Agarwood, sandalwood, and cedar smokes from the incense-filled temples in Sheung Wan.
- Cinnamon, sichuan pepper, and cloves procured from the hidden spice stores of Wan Chai.
- Mandarin, ginger, and lychee found in the bustling Central street markets.
Fragrances are proven to leave strong imprints on the brain. Of all the five senses, our sense of smell is the most powerful trigger of memories. According to Dr. Oliver Baumann, researcher at the Queensland Brain Institute, “Scent can bring back memories much faster and stronger than any of our other senses.” This is because incoming scents are first processed by the olfactory bulb and then transmitted to the hippocampus, giving our sense of smell a “direct link to the main memory centre of the brain”, and making Parfums de Voyage – Hong Kong more than a travel souvenir, but a return journey through scent.
