Cathay Pacific Airways will resume flight services to and from Jakarta this afternoon (Sunday, 7 November) in view of the latest forecast of the volcanic ash cloud resulting from the eruption of Mount Merapi.
The two scheduled flights from Hong Kong to Jakarta this afternoon – CX719 and CX797 - will operate as normal.
In addition, Cathay Pacific will reinstate one cancelled flight from Saturday - CX777 - to help affected passengers travel to Jakarta. The departure time is 1530 pm today.
From Jakarta to Hong Kong, the previously cancelled CX776 flight will also be reinstated. It is scheduled to depart at 2030 (local time).
Customers are advised to check the status of their flight at the airline’s website, www.cathaypacific.com, before departing for the airport. They are also advised to input their contact details in the Manage My Booking function at the website to ensure they get the latest flight information via SMS or email.
