Dragonair moves to new check-in system, all destinations to offer mobile/online check-in from 15 January

(HONG KONG) Dragonair has successfully completed a move to a new check-in system for its airports worldwide. Over a six-month period, 91 destinations across the networks of Dragonair and sister airline Cathay Pacific successfully transitioned to the new system.

The implementation of the new check-in system marks the final stage of the implementation of a fully integrated end-to-end passenger services system for both Dragonair and Cathay Pacific. This system interconnects its sales, reservations and ticketing, inventory management, passenger services, and aircraft load control operations.

The new check-in system will enable Dragonair to make online check-in and mobile check-in services available in a number of destinations that currently don’t offer these facilities. From 15 January 2015, passengers travelling on all Dragonair flights will be able to use online check-in and mobile check-in services.

Another plus for passengers is that they can now book tickets through various channels – including www.dragonair.com, the reservations hotline and via travel agents - up to one hour before the schedule flight departure time. Previously, customers were required to go to the airport ticketing counters to make ticket purchases within four hours of their flight’s departure.

Dragonair is committed to offering passengers a premium travel experience and since early 2013 has been rolling out a comprehensive upgrade of cabins across its Airbus A330 and A321 fleets, including new First Class, Business Class and Economy Class seats together with a brand-new on-demand inflight entertainment system, StudioKA. Last month Dragonair began the next step in enhancing the passenger experience by introducing new cabins on its A320 aircraft.
