Cathay Pacific welcomes union move to call off disruptive action over Chinese New Year

Cathay Pacific Airways today welcomes the decision of the Flight Attendants Union (FAU) to call off disruptive action over the forthcoming festive holiday season.
Commenting on the decision, the airline’s Director Corporate Affairs Quince Chong, said: “The travelling public will be relieved that the threat of possible disruption to flight schedules over the Chinese New Year has now been removed.
"We welcome the union’s decision and will continue to discuss issues of mutual benefit to the crew community and the company at our regular meetings with the FAU.
"We would like to thank the Labour Department for its efforts to mediate in this matter. We are also grateful to all staff for the outstanding service they provide to our customers."
