Dragonair to operate four extra flights and add capacity on two routes tomorrow to help passengers affected by Typhoon Usagi

23 Sep 2013

Dragonair announced that it will operate an additional flight to and from four destinations – Shanghai Pudong, Qingdao, Sanya and Kaohsiung – tomorrow (24 September) to help those passengers whose flights were cancelled as a result of Typhoon Usagi.  In addition, one flight to and from two destinations - Beijing and Fukuoka - tomorrow will be operated by a bigger aircraft to accommodate more passengers.

The airline believes this extra capacity will help clear the backlog of passengers in Hong Kong following the cancellation of flights over the weekend.

The airline resumed its flight services with effect from 12 noon today (23 September). Passengers should check the latest flight information and their flight booking details on the airline’s website, www.dragonair.com, before departing for the airport.

Those with confirmed bookings are advised not to arrive at the airport more than three hours before the estimated departure time of their flight. Passengers without confirmed bookings are advised not to go to the airport.

Dragonair will waive re-booking fees for all tickets issued worldwide (irrespective of fare type) on or before 20 September for travel on its flights between 22 September (Hong Kong time) and 24 September.

To ensure they receive the latest flight status updates via SMS or email, customers are advised to update their contact details in Manage Booking at www.dragonair.com.
