Our New Home: Cathay Pacific City - A New "City"

The concept behind Cathay Pacific City was to build a new "city" to serve over 3,000 staff in Hong Kong with all the necessary facilities under the same roof. Here are some "vital statistics": built on four hectares of reclaimed land at the southeast corner of Hong Kong International Airport, Cathay Pacific City spans a total of 1.3 million square feet and cost HK$4.9 billion to realize, making it one of the largest corporate headquarters in Asia.
Futuristic Design: A Confident Outlook for the Future

The architectural design of Cathay Pacific City not only reflects our corporate identity, but also our confident outlook for the future. Designed with nature in mind, using environmental friendly materials throughout the construction, the complex uses an intelligent Building Management System which controls interior lighting and temperature to ensure optimum use of energy.
The Central Atrium: Dramatic Use of Space

Walk through the main entrance of the central building, and you will be immediately struck by the dramatic use of space inside. The main office facilities are built around a high central atrium, with large glazed windows designed to absorb natural lighting.
The Street

Immediately above the main entrance lies an impressive mezzanine that runs through the entire first floor. Simply known as "The Street", this pedestrian walkway is the heart of Cathay Pacific City, featuring an "alfresco" cafe as well as various open areas to sit and relax; a place for our team to meet informally and to provide a convenient link to different areas of the building.
Ergonomic Open-Plan Office

Our people constitute the heart and soul of Cathay Pacific. That is why we provide our team a creative working environment that fosters the exchange of ideas and information. The three office towers embrace new standards in ergonomic, open-plan office design, offering natural lighting and panoramic views.
A 198-Seater Auditorium

Our Training and Development Centre features a state-of-the-art auditorium which can accommodate up to 198 people, as well as a full suite of computer-equipped training rooms and classrooms.
Our Learning Centre

The Learning Zone is an open-plan area where staff have open access to a comprehensive range of multimedia learning resources to support self-learning and development initiatives.
The Headland Hotel

Our philosophy definitely goes well beyond work. The 23-floor Headland Hotel greets our overseas staff with striking, four-star accommodation and fine dining. Special "time-zone" floors are designed for those flying on European or North American schedules to help their body clocks attune to the time difference. After taking a good rest, there is the 24-hour Lion Rock Cafe to replenish their bodies.
The Dakota Club

A Place to Flex Your Muscles
Just across from the Headland Hotel is the Dakota Club leisure complex. The centre provides our team with a diverse range of sports facilities, from basketball to weight training and outdoor tennis to swimming.

A Place to Relax
And with one of the few countable alfresco bars in Hong Kong, the Dakota Club is a great place to relax over a drink with friends and colleagues.
We hope you enjoyed this "virtual tour" of Cathay Pacific City. We are very proud of our home and we'd love to show you around in person soon.
