Transit from domestic to international flights

Transferring from an Air New Zealand flight to a Cathay Pacific flight: During check-in at the domestic airport, the baggage should have been tagged for the final destination. So passengers can transit to the international terminal and proceed to the departure gate. Business Class passengers can obtain lounge invitation cards at the Cathay Pacific transit desk.

Transferring from a Jetstar flight to a Cathay Pacific flight: Baggage cannot be through checked, and so passengers must collect baggage and check in again.

Transit from international to domestic flights

Transferring from a Cathay Pacific flight to an Air New Zealand flight: During check-in at the international airport, the baggage should have been tagged for the final destination, but passengers must collect baggage after passing immigration to clear the customs/agriculture controls. Passengers can proceed to check baggage at the Air New Zealand domestic transfer counter in Zone A (turn right when exiting the Customs Hall), then go to the domestic terminal for the onward flight.

Transferring from a Cathay Pacific flight to a Jetstar flight or other operator’s flight: Passengers can collect their baggage and proceed to the respective domestic terminal.

Transit from international to international flights

Arriving passengers (including those for CX7800 to Santiago) should follow “Transfer” signs and pass the security check. Passengers holding boarding passes for the onward flight can proceed to the departure gate. Passengers not holding a boarding pass should go to the airline transfer desk for further assistance.
