At Cathay Pacific, we've been letting our passion fly for over 65 years.

Our airline was founded in 1946 as a small Hong Kong based freight and passenger carrier. Today, we stand proud as Hong Kong's home airline, and as one of the best in the world. Our 135 wide-bodied passenger and cargo aircraft fly to 174 destinations in 41 countries and territories.

Despite our global growth, we've remained deeply committed to our home base. Significant investments have been made in our fleet and operations to help transform Hong Kong into a world-leading global transportation hub. These include catering, aircraft maintenance and ground handling companies, as well as the new Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal and Cathay Pacific City, our corporate headquarters located at Hong Kong International Airport.

We have also invested heavily in passenger and cargo services to expand our network across Asia. The Cathay Pacific Group is the proud parent company of Dragonair, which operates 39 passenger aircraft serving 45 throughout the Asia Pacific region. It is also the majority shareholder in Air Hong Kong, Hong Kong's only all-cargo carrier, and a part owner of Air China, the leading provider of passenger and cargo services in Mainland China.

As we look to the future, our vision is simple – to become the world's best airline. Being the best means always striving to excel in everything we do. It means putting safety first, maintaining a world-class fleet, and consistently delivering service that's straight from the heart. With the commitment and passion of our global family, it's a goal we believe we can achieve.
