Leave
Second Officers are entitled to 21 days of annual leave per calendar year. Sick leave, maternity leave and compassionate leave are also available.

Retirement Scheme The Company contributes the equivalent of 15.5% of the Officer's salary into the Cathay Pacific Provident Fund. The officer may elect to transfer the benefit entitlements from his/her previous employer into the Fund subject to approval by the Trustee. Loss of License Insurance The Company insures the Officer's flying licence to a maximum of 24 months' salary.
Concessional Travel After the applicable qualifying period (currently 6 months), concessional travel on Cathay Pacific, oneworld and ZED carriers are available to crew, their spouse (or companion for single employees), eligible dependant children and two relatives nominated from the following; parents, parents-in law, siblings or children over the age of 24. After 12 months, crewmembers, their spouse and eligible children are also entitled to unlimited concessionary travel with participating airlines.
In addition, employees, spouse, and eligible children are entitled to a bookable free of charge (FOC) return ticket on a Cathay Pacific flight each year.
Life Insurance The Company will effect insurance for the death of an Officer to the sum of 60 months' salary.
Additional Insurance The Company offers a Flexible Benefits Scheme to Hong Kong based Officers. Using this Scheme, an Officer may select an appropriate level of insurance for him/herself, spouse and eligible dependants. The benefits covered under this scheme include:
