Online Booking Guide

1. Online Booking Payment

Internet Booking Engine accepts only credit card. (No debit card or check card)

If your credit card issued in Korea, please make sure that your credit card has been registered security program from the credit card company. If you have not registered security program yet, please contact your credit card company.

2. Online Booking Checkpoint

  1. Cathay Pacific Internet Booking Engine is controlled by Headquarter in Hong Kong. Therefore, the transaction will be approved overseas. Please remind that fares are subject to change due to currency fluctuations.
  2. The credit card used to pay for tickets must be presented by the cardholder upon check-in at the airport, or at the nearest Cathay Pacific ticketing office prior to the flight departure. Otherwise the carrier reserves the right to deny boarding or collects a guarantee payment (in cash or new credit card)
***** If a transaction is successfully made with Verified by Visa, or MasterCard® SecureCode™, the cardholder will not be required to present the physical card used for verification.

3. Online Error Checkpoint

  1. Did you input the security code correctly for your credit card?
    If you input a wrong security code, the following error code will appear : BTC_PSC_07B34.
    Due to security reasons, once a wrong security code has been input, system will default fraud suspicious. This restriction will be released after 24 hours, please retry after 24 hours or use a different credit card.
  2. When you input payment address, did you input details without marks ( for example "?<>,/_... )?
    If you input your payment address with marks, it will cause a system error and we will not be able to proceed with your instructions. Please refrain from using marks when typing the payment address.
  3. Do you have enough credit limit?
    If you have insufficient credit limit, the following error code will appear : BTC_PSC_07B12.
    The transaction will be refused by the issuing bank due to insufficient credit limit. Please try using a different credit card or contact your credit card company to check your credit limit.
  4. Did it take more than 10 minutes to complete the payment?
    If you have used more than 10 minutes to complete the payment, it will cause a time-out error. Please make sure that you complete your payment within 10 minutes.
  5. Did you press 'back' or 'submit' button several times?
    Please do not press 'back' button, submit your request again or refresh the page, as it may result in charging your card account twice or more. We appreciate your patience.

4. Other Online Booking FAQ

  1. How can I confirm my reservation?
    If your reservation has been completed successfully, you will get 5-digit reservation number after pressing PAYMENT button. And then our system will send you an e-ticket automatically within 24 hours. Date change may not be allowed before the e-ticket has been sent out.
  2. What should I do if the credit card transaction has been approved although there were other errors during the booking process?
    If webpage stops suddenly or an error code appears, it means that the online booking has not completed successfully. Therefore even if your credit card has been approved, the booking will be automatically cancelled.
  3. Is there any difference between normal economy seat and restricted economy seat?
    'Restricted seat' means it has restrictions on refund, rebooking, validity, etc. Therefore please read ticket terms and conditions carefully before you purchase ticket in order to check ticket validity, refund charge, change availability, and also mileage accrual eligibility.

5. Refund

  1. How can I get refund after making a reservation on Cathay Pacific website?
    Please remind that you must contact Cathay Pacific Airways or E-service center to request refund. If you cancel your booking on Cathay Pacific website by yourself after purchasing, you cannot get any refund. And please check first ‘terms & conditions’ before purchasing ticket.
  2. How long does it take to get refund?
    It will take about 2 to 3 months.
