Passengers who are under the US Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) should note that starting from 12 January 2009, all travellers under the programme must obtain an approved travel authorisation via Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) prior to travelling to the US.
Failure to do so will result in denied boarding.
Passengers who are eligible for the US Visa Waiver Programme are advised to submit applications through ESTA at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov no less than 72 hours prior to departure.
