Transit Information

Minimum connecting time for KA and CX flights: 50 mins

Please follow the "Transfer Information" sign to the nearest Transfer Point, then proceed through the Security Check to Departures on Level 6.

If you need to check in for your onward flight, please follow the signs for the appropriate Transfer Desk. Should you be travelling onward with us, you will find our Transfer Desk at E2 near Gate 21, or W1 near Gate 40.

HK$120 (usually included in the price of airline ticket). Children under 12 are exempted.

Customs Allowance

A passenger aged 18 or above can bring in duty free of - -

Tobacco Products: 19 cigarettes or 1 cigar or 25g of cigars or 25g of tobacco
Alcoholic Beverages: 1 litre of wine or spirits* ( A passenger holding a Hong Kong ID Card must have spent minimum of 24 hours outside of the SAR in order to qualify for this allowance)

*Alcoholic liquor with an alcoholic strength above 30% by volume measured at temperature of 20℃ is exempted from duty.

Unlicensed export of powdered formula that exceeds 1.8kg net weight in total or by a passenger who has left and re-entered Hong Kong in the previous 24 hours is prohibited. Powdered formula includes milk powder and soya milk powder for infants and children under 36 months.

A Glance at Airport Facilities

A Self Check-In Kiosk is located on aisle B (Cathay Pacific) / aisle H (Dragonair) at Hong Kong International Airport, where you can check in for any Cathay Pacific/ Dragonair flights departing within 48 hours, and print your boarding pass.
The terminal building is designed for full access to the physically disadvantaged, which include features such as lowered telephones and drinking fountains as well as washrooms for wheelchair access.
There are a total of 16 nursery rooms, open 24 hours a day, located at various locations in the Passenger Terminal. They are fully equipped with changing and feeding facilities, and are unsupervised.
Free Internet Access is available at the Reuters Multimedia Lounge (Tel: 2802-8288) and the Samsung Multimedia Lounge (Tel: 2736-5252) in the Passenger Terminal, Level 7, and at the Cyber Break Cafe between Gates 65 & 67 in the Northwest Concourse at Departures Level 6, where you can also get free refreshments. The Airport Medical Centre, open daily from 7am-midnight, is located at Room 6T-052, Landside Level 6. Tel: 2261-2626
