1. How can I apply for a job in Cathay Pacific? You can visit our career website at http://careers.cathaypacific.com for details of current openings and to directly apply for jobs online. |

2. What can I do if no specific jobs match my interests, but I would still like to apply to Cathay Pacific? Visit our career website, sign up with Cathay Pacific and set up a Job Search Agent. Just enter the type of job areas you are interested in, and your agent will automatically email you with news of matching job openings once they become available. |

3. What happens to my application once I have applied? Once you apply for an opening online, your application will be reviewed by our Personnel team. Short-listed candidates will be contacted for interviews. If you don't hear from us within 8 weeks, you may consider your application unsuccessful in that particular instance. |

4. What do I need to do if there is more than one job I am interested in? If you are applying online, you can save jobs into your job basket, but you need to apply for each opening separately. Create your account, enter your CV details and then apply for the jobs individually. |

5. Do I need to complete the whole online CV? It is more beneficial for you to provide complete information as it is easier for our recruiters to assess your suitability for the positions. |

6. What is your policy on recruiting individuals who require a work permit? Generally, Cathay Pacific prefers to hire individuals who are authorised to work in the country to which they are applying. Cathay Pacific makes hiring decisions based on business logic and necessity. However, where appropriate, we may sponsor work authorisation for holders of positions whose skills are scarce in the market. |

7. How can I know about job vacancies other than the ones currently available in Hong Kong? You can check out our current job openings by visiting the local websites of our outports.. Alternatively, please refer to the job sections of your local newspapers. |

8. For how long will my application remain active in the database? Personal data provided by candidates will be retained on our files for a period of 2 years. If you have applied online, remember to update your profile should you have a change in status: change of address, jobs, email address and so on. |
