Frequently Asked Questions
Arrivals and Departures
1. What is the difference between "Schedules" and "Arrivals and Departures"? Which one should I use? Schedules allows you to plan your trip ahead of time. It displays the scheduled departure and arrival times of our flights up to 1 year from now. Actual times of departure and arrival may be different from the scheduled times due to various reasons. We recommend using Arrivals and Departures closer to your flight date to check the most updated status. |
2. What kind of flights can I check under Arrivals and Departures? You can check arrival and departure times for all Cathay Pacific and Dragonair flights. Please note code-sharing flights operated by other airlines (bearing 4-digit flight numbers starting with "1") and joint venture flights to or from Hanoi / Ho Chi Minh City operated by our partner carriers are not available. If you wish to check the status of these flights, please call our reservations office. |
3. What dates can I check for the latest flight status? You can check the latest updates on flights arriving or departing today, tomorrow or yesterday. |
4. Is the information I receive real-time? Yes, the flight status available on our site are real-time. You can find on top of the results page when the information was last updated. This should match the current time. |
5. Can I check the flight status if I have forgotten the flight number? Yes, you can also choose to enter your departure / arrival cities OR the period of time in which flights depart from / arrive at a particular city if you do not have the flight number with you. |
6. Which date should I enter if I am checking a flight departing / arriving in a different time zone? Enter the local date and time at which your flight is scheduled to depart / arrive. For instance, if you wish to check the arrival status of a flight which has already departed Los Angeles at local time 12:30am, 17 December, scheduled to arrive in Hong Kong at local time 6:30am, 18 December, you should enter 18 December if you wish to look up for the arrival status of this flight. |
