Awards Categories
The Cathay Pacific Business Awards 2009 are comprised of three categories:
| The Continued Commitment Award |
| Recognising ongoing, large-scale, sustainable and ethical investment in Greater China by an established UK company with over 250 employees. This award recognises outstanding and ongoing commitment to Hong Kong and/ or China by an established UK company. Entrants must show how the region plays a key part in their global strategy through large-scale, long-term investment in resource and skills. | The Rising Stars Award |
| Recognising the dynamism and success of SMEs in developing individual projects or joint ventures in Greater China. This award recognises the dynamism and commitment of SMEs developing individual projects or joint ventures in Hong Kong and/ or China. Companies will be judged on how well they have invested locally in workforce, materials and skills, and seized opportunities to deliver positive financial results, company growth or improved market share. | The New Horizons Award |
| Recognising projects or initiatives from any company or NFP organisation that displays a substantial and firmly rooted commitment to Greater China. This award recognises a project or initiative that displays substantial and firmly rooted commitment to Hong Kong and/or China. Projects could include business innovation, research activities, or environmental and CSR case studies. This category welcomes entries from any company, NFP or academic organisation. Entry requirements:
Across all categories, companies need to:- Be registered in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
- Show positive results/returns from investing in China and/or Hong Kong.
- Demonstrate ongoing plans for future investment and continued commitment to China and/or Hong Kong.
