Self Check-In Kiosks - Check-In

1. What kind of service does the kiosk offer?

The kiosk currently offers the following:

  1. Check-In service - Select your seat and print out your boarding pass.
  2. Boarding Pass Collection - Print your boarding and lounge passes after you have used our Online Check-In service on cathaypacific.com

2. Who can use the Self Check-In kiosks?

This service is available to all passengers with valid flight bookings departing from that city.

3. Where are the kiosks located?

They are currently located at:

  • Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in Terminal 3 Row 24
  • Beijing Capital International Airport in Terminal 3 aisle C
  • Frankfurt International Airport in Terminal 2 Area E
  • Hong Kong International Airport on aisles B and C
  • Kuala Lumpur International Airport on aisles E, F, G and H
  • London Heathrow Airport in Terminal 3 Zone B
  • Mumbai, Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Terminal 2B
  • Nagoya, Chubu Centrair International Airport Passenger Terminal Aisle D

4. How do I check in using the kiosks?

You can now check in on your own by the following steps:

Step 1. Retrieve your booking by:

  • Inserting or swiping your Marco Polo Club or Asia Miles membership card OR,
  • Scanning the barcode on your Check-In Confirmation displayed on your mobile device or printout OR,
  • Scanning your passport OR,
  • Inserting your ticket (with magnetic strip)
Step 2. Select your flight
Step 3. Select your preferred seat from an interactive seat map
Step 4. Print your boarding pass

5. How do I collect my boarding pass at the kiosk after I have checked in online?

You can now print your boarding pass if you already have checked in online by scanning the barcode in your Check-In Confirmation displayed on your mobile device or printout. Your booking record will be retrieved then.

6. What are the earliest and latest times that I can check in and collect my boarding pass?

You can check in between 50 minutes and 48 hours prior to your flight departure. This applies to all Self Check-In Kiosks at airports in Hong Kong, Seoul, San Francisco, Vancouver and Kuala Lumpur.

7. Are the kiosks in service 24 hours a day?

Yes.

8. Can I use the kiosk for all Cathay Pacific flights?

Yes, except for codeshare flights when you need to check in with the respective operating carrier. For more details, please contact our reservations office for check-in arrangements.

9. What languages are available on Self Check-In kiosks?

The service is currently available in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, French and German.

10. Can I use the kiosk if I have baggage to check in?

Yes, simply check in your baggage at our Self Check-In Bag Drop Counter, or any available counter, after using the kiosk.

11. Where do I get assistance if problems arise while using the kiosk?

Simply present the error slip printed from the kiosk to one of our Customer Services representatives.
