Telephone calls are charged at a flat rate per minute, or part thereof, at US$8.80*. Most major credit cards are accepted. Please note that toll-free numbers and international directory enquiries are not available from your inflight phone. The system cannot accept incoming calls either.

In case you are wondering what kind of portable electronic devices you cannot use during a flight, take a look at the chart below.

| Laptops, PDAs, CD-ROM players, hand-held game consoles, MD players and CD players can all be used from 15 minutes after takeoff until the seat-belt sign is switched on in preparation for landing. Mobile phones must be switched off until after landing. The cabin crew will advise you when you can switch them on again. * There will be no connecting tone before the recipient picks up the call. Please be patient while the phone is connecting. A connection fee may be charged even if the recipient does not answer the call.
