Cathay Pacific 'I Can Fly' Programme

Cathay Pacific's 'I Can Fly' Programme is a new education concept combining the essence of social service and aviation know-how. Designed to encourage local youngsters to learn more about aviation and contribute to the society, 'I Can Fly' is an exciting programme that aims to stimulate the youngster's creativity while at the same time widen the horizons of our next generation.

The first 'I Can Fly' Programme was launched in January 2003 and have recruited 1,000 Hong Kong resident aged between 13 and 18, with a passion about aviation and interest in community service and voluntary work.

Another group of 1,000 students have joined our second ‘I Can Fly’ programme, which runs from June 2005 through August 2006 to take part in a similar range of activities.

Cathay Pacific pilots lead 'I Can Fly' members in a series of aviation and social service activities throughout the programme year. Along with the pilots, members will have the chance to design and implement self-designed social service activities for specific community groups.

Furthermore, 100 members who performed exceptionally well are invited to join one of the overseas trips to Boeing in Seattle, U.S. , Airbus in Toulouse, France, or and BAE Flying School in Adelaide, Australia. Please visit the I Can Fly website to learn more about aviation and community!
