If you tend to fly long haul, you will most likely qualify through Club miles. However, if you frequently travel short haul, Club sectors will help your progress through the tiers. Here's an example:

Hong Kong - Taipei - Hong Kong - Taipei - Hong Kong
4 Club sectors / 2,004 Club miles
Hong Kong - London
1 Club sector / 5,983 Club miles

Note: Either Club miles or Club sectors count towards renewal or upgrade, not a combination of both. You can earn Club miles and sectors in all classes of travel, however, how much one earns is dependent upon the travel class and fare class booked and printed on your air ticket.

Top »

28. How can I check my Club mileage?

If any miles you have earned do not appear in your account seven days after flying with Cathay Pacific or Dragonair, or six weeks for other airlines and partner services, simply select "Claim Missing Airline Miles" or "Claim Missing Non-Airline Miles" under the "Manage Your Miles" section on the left hand side navigation bar to request crediting of your miles earned.

Top »

31. Why didn't I earn Asia Miles on air travel?

There are many factors that can result in miles not being credited to your account, such as name mismatches, membership number mismatches, ineligible fares and system irregularities, to name a few. Therefore, please submit your missing mileage claims online or mail the claims with the boarding pass in question and we will try out best to resolve the situation immediately.

To avoid missing out on miles due to name irregularities, please make sure that the names on your passport, ticket and profile all exactly match.

Top »
